A FEW HANDICAPPING TIPS:
========================

I have used this formula for 48 years. I hope you will give it a chance to work for you. As with any other handicapping system, sometimes it works better than at other times. Here are some observations I have made over the years that might be helpful for you. The faster the track the better. I have found the most important variable is the surface of the track. A track that is not too deep is better for front runners. You will soon be able to isolate which tracks are front running tracks. I have had more success at the following tracks, Belmont, Aqueduct, Saratoga, Arlington Park, Santa Anita and Turfway. Remember, this is not an exclusive front running system. When the track is not too deep and fast, the closers have a better chance also. The track condition is very important. The system works better on a fast track. It is dynamite on a sloppy track. By sloppy, I mean one that has puddles standing on it. A tip that I have never seen anywhere is that the first day a track comes back to "fast" after having been off is great for front runners. But a "drying out" track can be "death." When a track is "slow", "heavy", or " good", be very careful. If a track is marked "good" and has a good drainage system it can be an O.K. track. Remember it is marked "good" right before it is changed to fast.

I developed this program after spending years going to the races. I developed the original formula and programmed the software. It was done not by someone in an ivory tower but, by a hands-on experienced race-goer. I have tried to incorporate all aspects of going to the races to make it easier.

Additional Comments :
====================

I have closely watched the new Gold system and the Power Numbers for over 20 years. I have come to the following conclusions.

H Predict ( original H Formula)
==========================================

Gold Predict
============

H Power
============

IF THE THREE SYSTEMS PICK THE SAME HORSE- IT IS A VERY STRONG SELECTION. DURING THE 1998 AQUEDUCT SEASON WON 14/15 PLAYS BUT PAYED LOW PAYOFFS.

In general you should use the system and evaluate only a few tracks that you like to play and become familiar with your track. You will then find which system works best at your track.

In closing, the reason for including the 2 new systems with the original Predict formula is to present the player with more tools to work with in handicapping. I was hesitant to do this but I have found it has increased my own handicapping skills and has led to more profits at the track. This is not a copout but allowing the sophisticated horseplayer to have more of an edge.

As usual this is a handicapping system not a magic betting system. This system is not engaged in soliciting wagering. No Handicapping system in the world can promise, warranty, or guarantee anything in writing. Elements of chance, weather, the horses's health, and disposition on a given race day make any kind of promise, warranty, or guarantee impossible. Those elements also make thoroughbred racing a thrilling sport, so you could not remove the former, without killing the latter. Nor can any author control how accurately and carefully individual horseplayers will make use of it (a system).

Something newer has occurred in racing. Racing had not changed much for the longest time, but now we have multiple tracks who use the new polytrack surfaces. Rest assured, this has not changed the graph. The first call will work and look the same. Horses have not changed.

GOOD LUCK!!
